Free Expression & Migration

freeDimensional seeks to highlight the conditions of mobility, migration, and free expression faced by culture workers (artists, activists and citizen journalists) and the implications these hold for society at large. For issues to reach society at large, free and open expression is critical. At times imposed limitations or censorship require movement of voices and ideas in order for expression to be possible, safe, and unrestricted.

Body Politic

fD will continue its work at the nexus of mobility and free expression, while simultaneously developing new themes for engagement. In 2008 we are focusing on the 'Body Politic', a broad theme that includes physicality, sickness and health, gender, orientation and vocation. For more information, visit our blog, fD Body Politic.

Youth Engagement

freeDimensional seeks to accommodate young communicators working in any media who lack support and the protective recognition of the international community for their creative work detailing / explaining oppressive social issues. In its next phase of growth, freeDimensional will be focusing on how the placement service can be extended to a younger demographic as well as the prospects for coordinated activities among the youth programs of all partner centers. As we further develop this focus area and related service, please help us to share information using our thematic blog, fD Youth Engagement.
